Okay so I went and played bunco last night. Let Ryan have 3 friends over while I was gone. As I was getting ready to leave they were setting up a table to play cards.
When I called later in the evening to see how they were doing he said fine. I asked what they were doing and he answered playing ice pong.
What!???
you know ice pong like beer pong but without the beer.
OH!?
Told the ladies I had to leave cuz I had to race home to make sure it was just ice! When I got home they had cleaned up (Probably because I said I'd be right home). Had the bean bag pillows upstairs in the family room and were ready for bed. I checked downstairs to see if any damage was done... none..... but there were playing cards every once in a while on the floor.
Came upstairs in the kitchen playing cards,
in the foyer playing cards,
in the family room playing cards.
Asked Ryan what's with the cards on the floor?
Ryan: "what cards".
I go to bed.
Get up next morning go downstairs ask the boys, because two of them spent the night,
what's up with the playing cards on the floor?
They answer "what cards?".
Me:" The cards every so often on the floor all over the house".
Ryan: "they aren't upstairs so they aren't all over the house"
Me: "okay so your saying you know there are cards on the floor?"
Ryan looks at me and smiles.
Then I say clean up your mess
Ryan: "What mess??"
The one your sitting in the middle of.....
Ryan: "this isn't a mess"
Okay what is it then.....
If this was Corey it would have gone like this.
Phone call while at bunco.
Me:"Corey what are you doing?"
Corey:"watching a movie."
(okay could stay at bunco longer)
Get home find cards on the floor.
Me:" corey why are there playing cards on the floor?"
Corey:"we had a war with them and threw them at each other."
Me: "okay please clean them up"
Corey:"okay"
next morning come downstairs see the mess
Me:"Corey clean up the mess you made with the pillows"
Corey:"okay"
friends;"okay"
So, you can see my delema. With Ryan it's always not me I don't know what your talking about. Like I'm seeing things. Corey it's always a straight answer. Then Ryan wonders why he's always getting in trouble.
Oh yeah we have a showing tomorrow so you have to clean up your mess......
Loopy for the Loupee's
Ryan in the mess
Cards everywhere
another card
another card
playing cards everywhere

Waiting.....
Well since the office walk through one showing. The realtor's all liked the house nothing derogatory was said. No comments on what can be done to stage the house.
Just one showing on Sunday morning. Only feedback from that one is we are their first pick but they are going to wait they aren't in a hurry. Which means they want to see if we come down in price. That's not going to happen for a while.
Still waiting........... This is the hardest part

Selling the house
Our house has officially been on the market for 2 weeks. We had our first office walk through. About 9 realtors showed up and walked around the house. The thing they seemed to like the most was the raised dishwasher. It seemed to be a novelty to them. The other thing they seemed to like was the heated floor in our master bathroom. They didn't understand the washer and dryer upstairs though. A couple of them asked about hook ups for a washer and dryer in the basement. My answer to them was no why would you want one down there? The bedrooms are up here, you just walk over and get the clothes, wash and dry them then put them away. Why walk down two flights of stairs to wash and dry then walk back up two flights of stairs to put them away. The one lady just looked at me like oh?!?... Interesting. It will be very interesting to hear their feedback. I also explained to the one realtor that came later in the day that the whole house is remodeled to look at the lake. She was one that got Chase's idea and liked all the things that Chase did (like the back splash in the kitchen). It all want so fast though. I really can't wait to hear their feedback.
Corey had asked why we had to have the office come and look at the house? I just said that it's because they need to know what the inside looks like to sell the house because it doesn't have the wow factor on the outside. People would just drive by otherwise.

New York, NewYork.....
Well this past Thursday I got to see my oldest baby (and yes I am crying as I'm writing this). Chase called Tuesday and said that this was a once in a life time happening and that it may not happen again and that Ryan and I should go and see her play. With those words uttered my heart leaped and I was making plans to go see my "pumpkin head" Got plane tickets and a hotel room, Ryan came home from school told him he was taking a four day weekend. Well his reaction was great! He he was soo excited to get to see his sister but I think he was even more excited to have a four day weekend!!
I took care of getting everything ready for us to go, Called the football coach to make sure it was okay for him to miss a practice got Andrew to take care of the doggies for me and set the alarm for 4am so that we can make our flight and off we went to surprise Corey!
The plane was late taking off and then delayed in the air but we made it. I had to hail a cab for the first time in my life that was a little nerve wracking but Ryan and I did it. Then we were on the road to see Core. I texted her that there would be a package at the front desk about the time she would go to lunch. That she needed to pick it up right when it got there. She was sceptical but said okay. When we were pulling up to the dorm I called her and told her the guy called and said he delivered it and that she should go down and pick it up right now! Well when she got down to the desk Ryan and I were standing there and the look on her face was priceless. We all started crying. I Love My Pumpkinhead!!!! We went up to her room and talked and she made us tea and hot chocolate God I just miss being around her! We went to lunch at Chipoltle, dropped her off at the room then went to check in at our hotel.
After we checked in Ryan and I laid down for a bit before we had to be at the game. Corey took a nap at the dorm before she had to get ready.
Ryan and I left for the game at 6 the game didn't start till 8:30 we just wanted to make sure that we would get there since we were taking the subway all by ourselves. The concierge at the hotel was absolutely NO help. We had to figure it out by ourselves. When we got off at our stop we were too far south of the NYU campus so I asked a Fed Ex guy to point us in the right direction and we walked the rest of the way there. We ended up in a section of town that had sex shops all up and down the street. Ryan was trying hard not to look but they were everywhere. It was cute when we saw Corey how he described it.
When we finally got to the NYU Campus for the game we were an hour early. Mind u we only had to train stops before we got off and walked 45 minutes in circles and the wrong way before I asked for directions. They have a huge gym it's two stories deep. When you get in you go down instead of up. Pretty neat. It also covered the entire block. At least it seemed like it, maybe half the block.
The game finally started at 9pm, they lost, they seemed to be too nervous. They had an award ceremony after and got a nice trophy for having made it as far as they did. They were #1 in their conference and won the conference playoffs. Corey made rookie of the year and first team all conference.
So, we went after the game to hole in the wall place called s'mac that made the best macaroni and cheese for some comfort food. Then went back to the hotel as it was 11:30 eastern time and waaaaay past my bedtime. :) Mind you Ryan and I had been up since 4am central time. I hit that king size bed and fell instantly asleep. I don't know when Corey and Ryan fell asleep but I think soon after me.
What a day!

Tuesday Evening
Well it's 10:18 and well past my bedtime. I am sitting here wondering why I am not asleep yet. I am usually in bed by by 9pm every night but these last two nights I have been wide awake. I have been reading trying to go to sleep but to no avail. Maybe I will read Stephanie's email again about numerology and try to do what it says to do because tomorrow is 11-11-2+0+0+9=11 supposed to be pretty powerful day.
Today I got tickets for Ryan and I to go see Corey play in the NCAA regionals for division III volleyball. We haven't told her. I want to surprise her. We are leaving on Thursday morning and coming home Saturday morning in time to get to Ryan's football game at 10:30am in Michigan City. His team is winning their playoffs and this is game 3. If they win then the next weekend we go to Indy. Could be exciting!
I don't know what happened but things are finally clicking with Ryan. His teacher actually wrote me and said that he is doing great. No more D-'s Hopefully it will stay this way. He is finally learning he gets more when he does better.
Today started out pretty stressful. I don't normally let things get to me but I had a lot to do before I went to talk to a gentleman about being an inspector for us. I think he just might work out. He is an electrician and an ac person. So this could be good and he wants to go to open houses on Sundays. Well I think writing this is finally putting me to sleep. :) Goodnight
